How can Team spirit help?
There are so many life hacks written to help us get things done as quickly as we can like DIY, TCB and GTD. Past few days I've been obsessed in finding the meaning to hack into, not just productivity. How can I make deeper connections with people that will generate lasting relations, create huge value, how I can enjoy the time, not just the reward and try to make each day without being worried about achievement?
I find this thin line between complimenting a peer and being mis-understood for asslicking to get a job done.
The most significant life hack that strikes to me in my personal and professional life about everyone I interact with are fistly what I like about them, secondly how they benefit with their presence alone and lastly what wrong would it be without them. The underlying platform to this is the statement that "everyone is a genius in his/her own way"
On a professional front, as a BFACET (as my employer rightly has in the core values), we have to make bold expressions about the strenghts we see in others. Because they become a source of inspiration. When I talk to my colleagues about their strenghts and positives, I am not complimenting them or asking them to do something differently. I just want them to know how important they are in doing what they do. Their contribution is priceless.
The teammate sitting next to me is a great person at heart. He is so jovial he keeps the place alive all the time. he cares for others and he is like "Dood ka dood pani ka pani" types. His friendliness is so contageous that we all forget any differences and we work as a team. He has this vicious vodoo on all of us, his presence itself does that. He is a key differentiator in the team's performance.
The other guy is quiet, he hardly speaks, doesnt look for recognition, but he helps you out in everything without you asking for it. His contribution is intangible but the result is priceless = a delighted happy customer, a service well delivered, a issue resolved and a excpectation well exceeded.
When I’m in a strengths-based mindset, I do a better job of thinking of ways our team can use its strengths to solve problems and do better work. If I’m in a mindset that’s focused on weakness, I’m less likely to be able to make those strategic decisions. It’s important to keep in mind that people’s strengths change over time. I find that my most difficult professional relationships are those in which professions of strength do the most good.
We should all be empathising to each other, thats how we can all connect.
Vengance never solves differences, it creates more vengance. At best to avoid conflict, empathise and ignore. But do not conflict
Destress with humor
Make notes and go with a notepad for your one on one
Write things down and plan your day - this helps immensely
celebrate birthday's this is a great team building activity to start with
Be the best team wherever you are. Know that if you help the customer well, keep him happy with your skills and services, you will develop as a person anywhere in your career. And with team efforts, one can make a noticeable difference.
Good luck.
